Chengdu University of Technology

Chengdu University of Technology is a Chinese state university co-constructed by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Natural Resources of China, and Sichuan Provincial Government, China. The university is located in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. It is a Double First Class University Plan university with Double First Class status in certain disciplines identified by the Ministry of Education. CDUT was established in 1956 on the basis of geo-related faculties from Chongqing University, Nanjing University, Northwest University, former Beijing Institute of Geology (China University of Geosciences, Beijing) and former Changchun College of Geology.

Up to now, Chengdu University of Technology has a total of 20 teaching schools, 1 institute of Sedimentary Geology, 1 institute of geological survey. CDUT has 74 undergraduate programs, including 15 state-level first-class programs, 8 state-level characteristic programs, 4 state-level comprehensive reform programs, 38 provincial-level first-class programs, 12 provincial-level characteristic programs, and 13 provincial-level comprehensive reform pilot programs. The university has the right to confer bachelor's, master's and doctor's degrees, and the right to examine and approve the qualifications of professors and doctoral supervisors. CDUT offers 10 disciplines including science, engineering, literature, management, economics, law, philosophy, agriculture, education and art.

By May 2021, The teaching and administrative staff numbers of the university are 3454, Including 2 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Science, 62 doctoral tutors, 338 professors and 729 associate professors. 96 of them have been awarded the State Council Special Allowance.

CDUT has an excellent international reputation for its international cooperative relationships and exchanges with more than 60 universities and institutions outside China. More than 2,500 scholars and experts from over 40 countries and regions have visited CDUT to conduct research or to lecture. Students from the United States, Australia, Germany, Austria, Korea, Japan and Russia have studied at CDUT in different fields. Over 300 international cooperative research projects have already been completed. In recent years, the university has successfully held several international academic conferences.
