Description

This course provides a historical survey of art from the Renaissance to the contemporary period. We will examine the major styles in architecture, sculpture, painting, graphic arts, and photography. Relationship of visual art to social and cultural trends will also be discussed. Students will learn about important artists and art works during the period and develop the ability to appreciate contemporary art forms.
