This is an introductory level Japanese language learning course designed for beginners. This course will introduce students to the fundamentals of modern Japanese, aiming to help students foster the four language skills including speaking, listening, reading and writing, as well as Japanese culture awareness. This course, closely following the textbook and focused on the frequently-used communicative situations, will familiarize students with the Japanese sound and language structure by mastering its three writing systems: hiragana, katakana, and kanji.
