Description

This course introduces students the various industry-standard practices, cinematic trends, genres, techniques, popular narratives etc. around the globe. The course aims to involve students in understanding the cinematic evolution, histories, universal themes, cultural idiosyncrasies in different cinematic industries spanning from the West to various non-Western countries. Students are encouraged to identify the common human stories ever-present, to sharp contrast in point of view, to also understanding how global cinema developed and is evolving due to an interconnected global media landscape.
