Description

This course will survey the history of photography from its beginning to the present in chronological order. Through the class, students will learn the history of photography in the aspects of aesthetic, science, social science, documentary, culture dynamics. Images in different stages contributed to photography’s history and those made an impact in mass culture will be appreciated. After the class, students should acknowledge the camera’s evolution and become familiar with the issues, terminology, and theories in photography.
