Description

Technical writing is used in various technical and professional fields. Its purpose is to help convey the technical information to the target audience accurately, concisely, and persuasively by the proper choice of format and writing style. This course introduces rhetorical principles and compositional practices necessary for writing effective professional communications, includes: document purpose and audience analysis, style, format and production of reports, proposals, feasibility studies, technical descriptions, letters, memos, and visual aids. Assignments will include reports, business letters, memos, resumes, and proposals that require graphics and other supportive data.
